How do I install the Android Version of the ExploreStars application?

(37)[C][C1]

We offer two ways to install the Android version of the ExploreStars application. The easiest and fastest way to install it is by downloading it from the Google Play Store. You can also manually load the Android version of the ExploreStars application using the following method

CAUTION: You need to carefully consider NOT using this option as we suggest you use the Google Play Store to download and install the ExploreStars application on your device. We have posted instructions on how to install the Android version of the ExploreStars application which will walk you through doing the install.

NOTE: This method requires your Android device have an SD Card Slot and you have an SD card to use during this procedure. It also requires that you have a Windows PC or other machine to download and copy the database on the SD card.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind. This installation is a manual installation, it does not use the Google Play Store.  Since this is a manual installation, it requires that your Android device have an SD card slot since the database structure is first created on the SD card and then when the application is downloaded from our website, it will run correctly. For best results, you need to have access to a PC that you can download the database zip file and extract it onto the SD card according to the instructions.   Once you have done that, then you will insert the SD card into your Android device and complete the installation.
