A curiosity for working with natural materials has inspired Kim to create original artwork from primitive, repurposed materials and weaving palm fronds, which she enjoys teaching others. This same interest took Kim on an adventure to Boulder, Utah where she attended the Slick Rock gathering at BOSS Outdoor School participating in a weeklong fully immersive weaving course. Kim hopes to return to the outdoor skills school to complete flint knapping, bow making and pottery in the future. Every activity that takes her into the water and outdoors fuels the inquisitive naturalist at Kim’s core.
